Me and the fam are taking a trip this spring break to Bluegill Cabins and they say they have bass, catfish, and obviously big bluegill. We have never been so I wanted to ask if any of yall have been before for some tips for all the fish in there! Thank you

Post this question in the bluegill section. There was a good post about the cabins a while back.

Bluegill Lakes are a series of small ponds located between Canton and Athens. If you stay in the cabins you are allowed to fish in the ponds. The lakes are stocked with bluegills which are fed daily. Although the ponds contain bass they are usually fished for the huge bluegills. A 10 inch bluegill is not uncommon.
When I was there a group of bass fishermen launched two of the best pond boats I have ever seen. They were disappointed because they did not catch any large bass. I would think the large bass would have all they could eat feeding on the bluegill and would be very hard to catch.
Even if you do not catch large numbers of bass the stay in the rustic cabins is highly recommended. The cabins are well furnished and picturesque. And you will never find a better place to catch large bluegill.

huge hybrid bluegills. They would bend a 5wt fly rod in 1/2. we caught some good cats as well with some decent bass in the mix. He was in the process of building a bigger lake last time we were there. Haven't been back. Fun place to stay and fish. Been talking about taking the kids for a weekend.

Guys if any of yall are wondering I highly recommend the trip! We stayed for 3 days and caught almost too much big 9-10 inch bluegill, and also a good number of bass including an 8.5lb one I caught! They have monsters in both bass and gills! We tried for cats with no luck, but as skeeter said, they are there!
