Valeno turned to almost lime green yesterday. Some kinda algae bloom maybe? Looks like I got a new paint job on my white boat.

Algae bloom, shouldn't affect the fishing. There was one in the Salado last year and the fish still bit good.

It was like that a month ago when we went--didn't affect the fishing.

Its back to normal today and the fish were really biting too.
Made for some really weird looking spray from the boats going by.

Always look for chunky rock, points, ledges and wood close to those. I wouldn't look for a whole lot of shallow spawners or much in the backs of creeks. Any spawners left will probably be more in the 4 to 8 foot range. C-rigs, t-rigs and shakey heads in under 10 foot caught most of ours. That's just .02. Every day is different with the fish seems like.

Green or blue/green algae is a sign of a good healthy ecosystem. If you get a red, brown or golden algae bloom, you've got issues with water quality.
