That's terrible they fly through that creek. Scary situation. I found plenty of keepers on the main lake today. The birds were working and the fish were thick out in front of Meadowmere. Birds worked the area for an hour. The wind was the tough part today. 16 landed in the boat and probably lost that many in just one hour.

Went this morning, caught 3 sandies and 4 black bass. Lots of bass boats and about 50% blast up there full throttle and screw anyone on the bank or in their way. Talked with a group of guys who lost two rigs because of this and several kayaks almost ran over. may have to start carrying a pocket full of rocks..... You're missing a real opportunity to entertain everyone here. A cell phone video would give some folks a great chance to see morons in action. .

Yeah thats crazy. I have a 2 and almost 4 yr old and i coupdnt imagine either of them being out in those woods alone for a night. Its crazy how the boat was beached and phone shoes etc were still inside and kid was dry on land but dad disappeared. Such a mystery. But I'm very glad that little guy is ok.

Such a sad incidence. I have been to the creek many times. Either the dad had a heart attack, or he was too speedy. There are a lot of submerged log in certain areas.

police have pulled out of search. just game wardens on site now. mind boggling the kid was not wearing a life jacket. also if that boat hit as hard as it did and he was onboard you would think the child would have had some injuries from the impact.

A boat propeller struck and killed a father who went missing after a fishing trip with his 2-year-old son, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's report.
Meinert's body was discovered without a life jacket about 10 to 15 yards downstream from where the boat was found
