This^^

Oldham jigs are the best. Heavy FTW. Super good jigs, super good people and the strongest, sharpest hooks on the market.

Lots of good jigs out there. Santone, Finch Nasty and the Hack Attack jig from Strike King as well are all good choices

Flipping a jig around boat docks and shallow cover is my favorite way to fish, I usually use a half ounce but sometimes switch to a 3/8 for a lighter fall. I usually buy the jig heads and skirts seperately and I like the boss invader jighead with whichever skirt you prefer.

I tried the NuTech jigs and have been pleased with their performance. I don't think they have improved my landing rate but they have improved my snagging rate. I do think they come through cover better than a jig with single brush guard.

All of these

If you are choosing to use a 3/8 or a 1/2 oz. jig because of the "fall rate" I can tell you that the trailer you use makes a bigger impact on the fall rate than the 1/8oz. difference between the jigs.

I began with a 3/8 jig many years ago and have had good success with it so that is what I use most. I do have some 1/2oz. jigs but don't throw them as much. I like to crawl jigs over timber and stump root systems and the 3/8 just works well for me.

Ike's mini flip from Missile Jig's in bammer craw with a Green Pumpkin elite chunch kr. or a z-craw jr in the same color and maybe shortened a hair. Great little jig.

For flipping soft plastics I generally use the Trokar TK130 and a bullet weight.
