I've been on Lake Fork once since last May and may get to go this weekend. I am wondering what the water temps are in the different parts of the lake. Are the mid lake and lower lake fish active in pre-spawn or is the water too cold in those areas still ? Should I concentrate on the upper end ?

Fish are moving shallow all over the lake. Upper end has temps in the md 60s.

I fished mid lake on March 5th and water temps had dropped after the rain and cold fronts from the week before, They were 60-64, and on Sat they were 58.8 on most of water we fished. (near Wilsons branch...) Still did good, caught (1) 3lber and (4) 4lbers by the time the evening was over. Senko, Jig and bladed jig bite were good. Fish were in 4-6 foot of water near flats at
the mouths of creeks.
We fished from 3-9ish..
Most fish we caught from 5-7pm.

Good luck!

I fished in Dale creek yesterday water was 61 degrees, fish were in various stages of prespawn. Plan on heading north tomorrow and fishing the upper end.

Fished Sunday in the Birch and Boardtree area and water was 54 - 58. Talked to several people who said it had been low 60s earlier in the week before the rains came.

I would bet every Lake in Texas has seen 65* but the cold fronts keep holding them back.
