Good afternoon!

I am going to be in Corsicana next week for some afternoon business, and am thinking of throwing the waders in the car and trying my luck at one of the nearby lakes when I am finished. I have not fished any of them before, so I was wondering what my best bet is between Bardwell, the North East portion of Richland Chambers, Athens, or any other ideas in that area.

Can someone help a fellow Slab Chaser out?

Thanks very much!

Carter

Might try Lake Halbert south of Corsicana on Hwy. 287. You won't need your waders unless you want to try the coves with vegetation. They have been catching some good ones on the pier and along the rocks and concrete walls at the parking area. Chartruse combos usually do best.

Thanks very much for the tips! Navarro Mills is one I didn't think about but am looking it over as well. Hopefully I can post some pics.
