I have had a lot more success with gold blades. My favorite color is bayou craw and I catch them in dirty and clear water with it. My second favorite color is just brown I don't know if the blade color or skirt color makes more of a difference but from my experience gold blade is the way to go. For a trailer I just use a little paddle tail swimbait and dip the tail in chartreuse dip n glo

I throw chatterbaits a lot and have since they came out and have tried a bunch. My go to is a perch or brown color skirt with a white spinnerbait trailer. I've tried all kinds of trailers, but I always go back to a spinnerbait trailer. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Just because they are on youtube don't make them an expert.

Depends on where you're fishing and what the bass seem to want. For example - On Tuesday, I was fishing a white, 1/2-oz Nasty pro model with a Keitech pearl paddle tail trailer in an Oklahoma pond. No luck at all until I changed the trailer to a 4.5" LTF Boot Tail Live Magic Shad. On my next 3 casts in a row, I caught 3 bass between 2.5 and 3.5 pounds. Later, at an adjacent pond, I had no luck at all on bladed jigs until I changed back to the Keitech trailer. Who knows why.

Give the Finch Nasty Thumper a try. Color depends on water clarity and matching the hatch. Look at these color for early spring. You are fishing a bait that is between a Jig, Spinnerbait, & Crankbait. So, uses colors you would normally use for them.
Late Winter/Early Spring - Black/Blue/Black Blade, Rayburn Red, Green Pumpkin
Spring - White, Chartreuse, Rayburn Red
Late Spring - Live Perch, Sun Perch, Bluegill
Early Summer - White, Natural Shad, Juvenile Gizzard Shad, Bar Fish
Summer - Bar Fish, Natural Shad, Juvenile Gizzard Shad

Remember you are mainly matching the hatch for the time of year and what the bass are primarily feeding on. Early in the year before baitfish move in, your Crawfish patterns will work. As Bream move into spawn they will be targeted. As the Shad spawn takes place, they will be targeted.
