Got a question...have any of you ever used them or know of anyone that is currently using them? Do they work well and is there any glitches or problems with them lauching or loading your boat?

I have tried all sorts of different measures in getting it to launch easy (moving the rollers higher, adding another independent roller betweent the winch and front of the board. And it still is a pain in launching. I wanted to try these to decrease the time in launching, especially by myself instead of having sink my trailer to the WINCH!!

Even taking the boat and trailer to a dealership, they couldn't get it to launch with ease either, but they did try to sell me a NEW TRAILER stating THAT would solve the problem. Go figure...

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Most of the add on "glide sticks" have a boat weight limit. I would assume this is to prevent damage to the boat. Go to www.ultimatebunkboards.com I've heard good things about them & when it's tome for me to replace mine I'll be trying them.

Yes they will help, BUT you need to leave the boat hooked up while loading and unloading, to keep it from running off the trailer..Might not solve your problem, as you will have to get to the winch...unloading you can leave the boat hooked to the strap, spool off several feet of strap, float the boat off the trailer and then pull the trailer up untill you can walk down the tong and into the boat..loading will still be a wet time...
a lot of times when I am having this loading problem, I ask someone at the ramp to please pull me out. I have never had anyone to defuse...

I like mine,on second set. The above is accurate about keeping strap on because the boat will slide into the ater before you want it to,when launching.
The main reason i am on my second set is that my boat is stored off trailer and the sun effects them.
Sure beats replacing carpet and boards.

I have glide slicks on my trailer and I don't think that they help at all. I bought them to make unloading easier but I can see no improvement. My boat has new Poly rollers and the slicks and it is still hard to get off of the trailer. The ramp where I unload is pretty steep and believe me it sure doesn't slide off the trailer by itself.

thats all fine and dandy with your POS , but if someone has the right setup, and follows your advice and loses a boat off the trailer, are you going to help pay for the damage, or just lower you head, and say, I'm sorry, mine didn't do that..

I have a 17.6 aluminum Polarcraft rigged out totally with side console and a 70hp. It came rigged for bass and crappie fishing, carpet, storage boxes, live well, etc.

Thanks for all the information.

Try spraying your bunk board with silicon spray. It will last a long time and lets your boat slide right off the trailer. Be careful as it may slide off before you get it in the water unless it's tied down. When I first bought my boat, it I had to back the trailer in almost to my bumper to get it off. Now all I have to do is back it in until the fender just touched the water. I've only had to treat it twice with silicon in 2 years but I think its about due for another treatment.

You know what they say about advise, its free unless you pay for it. Seriously I don't think they help. They didn't help my launching at all. But if I had a different rig and I did put them on I would keep my straps on until I tried them. Every rig is different.
