Just found out there's a boat ramp there. Need to know about how far upriver & downriver you can get in bass boat.

Do you mean TX Hwy 12 in Deweyville? If so, you might want to check out the ramp before making a trip. The last time I tried to launch my 19-foot bass boat there a sandbar had built up across the boat ramp. The farther I backed in the higher the boat got!
Assuming you can launch, the river is navigable to the TB dam and to Sabine Lake. There is also a public ramp on the Texas side of the Hwy 190 bridge between Bon Wier and Merryville, if the river is high enough. Beware of lots of blowdowns and sand bars! Just read the water carefully to avoid underwater hazards and keep to the deep side of the turns.

Ive been all the way back west to hwy 69 south of mineola and east pretty much all the way east you want since the Sabine gets larger. Theres also a ramp on 69 too just south of mineola.

There were some low spots near Longview that wouldn't be bass boat friendly, but haven't fished that area in 15+ years.
What a maroon!
