so to fish Cedar Creek you don't need to pay $4 as in Nails Creek and Newman's bottom?

I fished Newman Bottom and the Erwin bridge this morning and it was really slow. Took along some crayfish and did not do well at all. The water color was pretty good. Did see a lot of activity in the water but managed only three keepers.

We had about the same luck in Cedar creek. Between 3 of us we only caught 2 white bass. That cold north wind seemed to shut them down

Wow. I was thinking about heading to Irwin Bridge this weekend. Maybe the coming weather might change things? Why is it sunny during the week days, and it always rains on the weekends when I'm off work? go figure...

Hey Guys,
I saw that there was comments that a bridge was closed near NB. I have not been out that way recently. Which bridge is closed?
Thanks

welcome

The small bridge that you have to cross over when you pull off of 140 and go through the gates to Newman's bottom.

You can park up above the gates and walk into NB only at this point. No automobile traffic allowed.

Great. Thanks for the info. I thought maybe it was one of the bridges closer to the creek. Has there been any more news about Nails Creek? Trying toget out tomorrow morning and trying to decide which one to fish.

They sure weren't biting in nails last weekend.....

If I fished for money.........I'd be broke.

True, I tried Nails with no luck last weekend too. But Cedar has been picking up. From my personal experience Nails usually fishes very similar to Cedar. I would try it if my focus was on Crappie. Then again, I wouldn't bet my paycheck on it grin

The white bass run has been so off. Everything is in place for an awesome year, but yet everyone is having issues. Crazy, crazy year.
