1. Do you trust the wireless footpedal not to blow out when your going across the water?
2. When you jog from an anchored position, does it take the angle of the jog from the direction the keel is facing or the orientation of the motor head?
3. Where do you guys keep your remote? On the boat? In the truck?

I keep the foot pedal stowed.
Yes. If it's working right, it will jog in the proper directions. (Sometimes they need to be calibrated)
I keep it in the boat.
The biggest thing to get used to is where it "settles down". When I hit the lock button it usually is about five feet behind where I want to be. I let it settle down and then jog forward five feet.

I also stow the foot control be sure it doesn't accidently get turned on in storage. If your motor seems to have a mind of it's own all of a sudden check to be sure foot peddle is off.. when I first got mine I did leave it out and nearly lost it on first outing. I think maybe if I take it back out I'll rig a safety string n clip to make sure it doesn't blow overboard. good luck

I put my foot pedal on a rod strap on the front deck when running. I store my pedal and remote at home since I have to store my boat in an open air area.

Well, I've already had my unit do something very strange. When I powered it up Friday afternoon, the head just started going left and right nonstop. I put it in manual mode and it worked fine. Turned it off and on again and hit anchor and the head started twisting to the right and did two full circles until the wires got so tight it had to stop. I put it back in manual mode, got it straightened back out and while the motor was still in the water, pulled the plug and turned off the foot pedal. Plugged the motor in, let it gps lock then turned on the pedal. Hit anchor and it would anchor, but when I would jog, it would go the opposite direction. I re-calibrated the mounting angle and it worked fine the rest of the day.
Does this happen to any of you guys?

Make sure your foot pedal is not on. If that thing starts getting hit, it will do crazy stuff. I have had that happen. I think I'm going to put the foot pedal in the garage.

Does this happen to any of you guys? Mine has been doing that since I fished with you last year. It does it randomly, but sometimes works fine. My GPS modules were replaced last October and my warranty went out in November. I called MG since it is still having issues. They are replacing the GPS modules and the main board on my motor and will still cover it since it is having the same issues it had when it was repaired under warranty. Their customer service is excellent. Give them a call and tell them what yours is doing. You won't be put on hold and you will talk to a person.

Where do you take it to? I'm really annoyed to already have a problem with this thing after investing so much money/time into it. When it's working, it's awesome.

Jacob:
Never use foot pedal. It's stowed. It jogs based on bow direction. Remote on strap around neck.
Hate to hear about your troubles. I'd be frustrated too. These units aren't cheap. Hopefully it can be fixed without keeping you off the water.
BDurham78:
I use built-in transducer with Lowrance HDS9 Gen3. I think I am getting some interference but I'm new to CHIRP so need to investigate more. It's good but noisy. No problems with location, even before I added Point One a couple weeks ago.
