Enjoying my move to Florida so far. Thought I'd share this vid with you guys to see what we catch in the middle of the neighborhoods out here. Super fun fish. And like I say in the video, when 4 and 5 pound largemouth are bycatch, you know it's a fun day fishing.

Great video! Definitely on my bucket list! They're a blast man, I'd definitely say they fight harder than largemouth pound-for-pound. But they don't have the acrobatics that largies do. They fight more like a smallmouth. Super fun fish. They're inappropriately named, though, as they are a species of cichlid and not part of the bass family at all. The males develop that big hump on their head during the mating season and use it to ram each other to fight for females. Pretty interesting species.
