Skip_48 lives on Toledo Bend. He makes all types of jigs and sell them on this site. I would contact him, he is usually on the pulse of the crappie on Toledo.

+1..Skip would know!...when are you planning to go?

The driving force and secret desire of every bass fisherman, is to one day be a crappie fisherman............Could it be that the good Lord just smilies and looks the other way when a fisherman tells a lie?

Good luck rustyhook1973, I know how your uncle feels, the best crappie fishing I ever had was on Toledo Bend, in the cove at the Indian Mounds Park.
WE were camped there and happen to find the crappie on a sandy point and whupped up on beautiful crappie for three days.
Hope y'all can get em good.

Grandpa asked me to take him to limestone to catch some whites off the dock he built years ago at their old house. Called current owner and got permission. My grandma said No! He was on oxygen bottle and too far a drive for him. He died of Meso/lung cancer shortly after that. I was only 17 but shouldn't have not listened to gran that time. I'm 40 now and sure wish I took him.
To the point, don't worry about the drive or small stuff. Tomarrow isn't guaranteed. Enjoy your friends and family today. Sounds like you have a good relationship with your uncle. That's what it's all about thumb

Get a guide if you don't know Toledo and expect to catch a limit. Not the easiest lake to learn in a few days. Not sure when you are going, but middle of May through June is best chance to load up.
