People that are overly humanize animals I just don't get This ^^^^^* Some folks don't want kids or cant have kids, so the animals can help to fill that void. I thank the lord every single day that I am a doggie daddy and not a baby daddy. My dogs are my kids, funny thing is they are more respectful an intelligent than 90% of the children I see now days. As for the insulting the dog thing, I don't think I'd get mad but would quickly follow up the insult on my dog with a nice "go f yourself". The person insulting my dogs reaction to that comment would determine the next step. If they take exception to my response we may have an issue, other wise we can just laugh it off and keep on keepin on.

I'd look at them like they were an idiot. I don't know why anyone would comment on a dog being dumb unless it just ran into the fridge or something. like you never have?

Sounds pretty rude to me. Granted, my dog's nickname is s***bird, but I don't think I'd go into someone else's home and insult their pup. That's something you just stew on for a while.

Was talking to my neighbor the other day and my little boy kept asking to give sissy (our beagle) a treat. The neighbor said no son I don't think she needs a treat she is looking pretty round as it is. We got a good laugh.
