Try running a forum where you are the last person in the line.
Dude A is red face pissed at Dude B and goes ballistic at him in a post. Moderator A steps in, removes the post and puts Dude A on a 2 week ban to cool down. Dude A goes even more crazy, but now Moderator A is the target of his anger. Dude A contacts the forum owner and gets the same response he got from Moderator A. Now the forum owner is the bad guy. He has forgotten all about Dude B and now is set on getting revenge against the evil forum and its owner for not seeing things his way.
I've only had a handful of death threats in the last 18 or 19 years, but we deal with a few nut cases every year. I said I was sorry. Can we please move on?
