Went up the river on hubbard sunday and was catching alot of Long fish with blackish spots on their tail and they had alot of small teeth. It looks like a Bowfin but i dont see anything that says those are native to that river. Is that what they were? I know alot of people have caught these cause it seems like thats all i could pull out of the river.

Sounds like bowfin to me. They are indeed on Hubbard, as the lake record is 7.6 lbs or so.

Yep thats them! they were everywhere i had to try and avoid them after the first 3 destroyed my hooks. do they bite? wasnt sure so i didnt chance it.

Yeah, those are bowfin. Cool pre-historic fish, hit HARD and fight hard too!
