New h2o rods look pretty slick. Anyone tried them yet.

I bought 2 more yesterday. Had a buddy buy me 2 passing thru OKC 2 weeks ago. I had thought they quit making them. They did go up on the price $10 but I definitly like the rods. I have 12 and have no complaints. I like how light weight they are.

They took the regular ethos at $59.99 and the ethos micro at $79.99 and combined them together with a stronger blank for $69.99 and discontinued those two styles. They took the best features from both rods and combined them into this model. It is called the Ethos HD.

I fish the mettle in the salt and have never had a problem with the reels. The reels have caught alot of trout reds and flounder for me with minimal maintenance.

I use shimano in thresh water, but no reason not to use mettle too

+2 on the Mettles. I have 3 & have never had an issue. The warranty is OTC if you have to use it, so you just get a new one.

Mine were $59 And as noted, have a LIFETIME warranty and a great centrifugal brake system....they copied the shimano design and it works. The only issue and its minor is that the side plate comes off entirely and if not prepared can be a surprise
