Me and a friend family are heading to Riverridge on the Sabine tomorrow. First time up there. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Head up or down river from Riverridge ? Baits that are successful right now ? I got a boat full of kids and they won't let me go home unless I put them on some fish. Thanks!!

I brought dynamite as a last resort!!

Texcajun if you are reading this HELP!!

We killed them ten days ago on 1/4 oz bone and craw colored rattle traps.

Thank you guys. I guess I can leave the dynamites at home. Will bring back a report tomorrow night. Thanks a million. Long drive up there to be skunked.

Yeah we tore them up too!! We also found a very sweeet spot. ,

Thanks guys you know who you are.

We throw every thing in the tackle box and caught nothing then we follow your tips and advice and started to tear them up. Nothing small. All very nice big fish's. Kids all got fish on their stringers and had happy smiles . I get to go home. Ha!!

Water temps were 62.5- 63.5
Water clarity were slightly muddy to muddy
River currents flow were moderately fast
Sky were Full Sun light
Baits 1/8 road runners with flashing blades chartreuse color but I heard live bait minnows were better.

If all else fail book with these people. http://riverridgetx.com/ They will show you how to catch those Sabine fish.

Btw those Big Whites easily showed up on the side scan and are very easily determined which areas has more of a concentration of them. Got side scan ? use them they are your friends on the river.

Finding them are easy. Getting them to bite is the harder part!! smile

Lines 8lb Big Game
Light rods and reels set up's ( bite were very finicky and light bite yesterday) go light helps to feel those bites.

Side scan can also tell you if that area you are fishing is clean or full of submerge timbers. Helps a lot not getting snagged and loosing a lot of tackles.

Have wondered how well side scan would work in river or creeks. Looks like very well thumb
