Looking for a good main line for Texas rigs & C-Rigs for the wife. The P-Line CXX seems to be fairly low stretch, so I'd like to see what everyone that has used it for these techniques thinks. We tried fluorocarbon for her, but she's still getting used to baitcasters and that wasn't fairing too well.

It's one of the strongest lines I have ever used, but it does have a lot of memory.
The CX premium isn't quite as tough as CXX, but it's a lot more manageable...

If you stretch it before using, it is one very good line.

Agreed with above. The CX seems a little weaker than CXX but with exponentially less memory. I prefer the CX. If you are wanting to try some copolymer lines try McCoys Mean Green Copoly. Can't find it many places local but you can buy some 800yd to 3000yd spools through Tackle Wearhouse pretty fairly priced.

If she's just starting out with baitcasters, to keep things simple, I agree--go with pline CX in 15lb test. Almost as supple and as easy to cast as mono, but with less stretch and better sensitivity

Strong line, lots of memory. I bought a big spool. I change every 2 or 3 weeks with this line.

Bad line in the winter. P-Line CX Premium is a better choice for cold water.
Stress less, relax more. Go fishing.

Gliss Line is good in all seasons. No stretch has the elements of Mono and Braid. It hit Ardent Reels about a year ago. Cuts through the water, 6lb is as strong as 12, etc. Been hearing a lot of anglers making the switch. #rulethewater P-Line is fantastic too. Winner @ iCast last year. Flurocarbon, as mentioned above, fish have difficulty seeing it, super strong, Japanese make solid tackle pretty often. Tight Lines. What do you all use? Watch out for the Berkely Lie ha ha ha! I though I was casting an accordion after 2 days...

I have pretty much changed over from Trilene big game to CXX over the past twelve months or so. Caught a 9 lb 12 oz bass at Lake Athens using 15 pound test CXX in mid December. I really like the line for its strength and abrasion resistance. Not too expensive, either. The only other line I am using right now is Power Pro braid for frogs, pitching jigs and plastics, and occasionally chatterbaits.
PB. 10 lb 12 oz

I caught my PB on T bend using 15cxx 15 years ago and always have it on a few rods. It's my go to at night also.
The day after catching a lot of fish is still a good day.

Glass is the worse line I have ever used! what is "Glass"? I'm assuming it is a type line line.
Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools won't heed it !

Cxx is some stout super strong stuff. I used it for a while but got tired of all the memory. Switched mccoys mean green and haven't looked back may not be quite as stout but best line I've ever used concerning memory. Cx is good stuff too.
