Well I was throwing the 2WT looking for gills after coming up empty on the 5WT for bass and this chunk ate my fly! What a fun fight that was... I am new to fly fishing but so far it has been incredibly fun!!! JZ [img] http://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics...6_5630817889018[/img]

It was quite a surprise for sure... I really like the 2WT but I had several pucker moments whenever the fish jumped.

I bet, man!
I was fishing a river a couple seasons ago with a little 3wt for sunfish when a smallie smacked the fly. He decided to head up under a waterfall with it and not come out - and with like 6x on a 3wt, I had to get pretty crafty to change his mind. Fishing with that light gear is just too much fun.

That's a great fish on any fly rod, but really impressive on a 2 wt.
What kind of fly did you catch it on?
