I usually do good on Granger nab a handful of nice cats just about every time in a couple hours. I usually anchor up in front of Taylor park or Wilson Fox park either one about 50-75 yards in front of those buoys I think there are some shell beds in that area or something I caught several cats in those areas with shells in there stomach. I anchor up and throw out some range cubes around the boat and usually get bites using regular red ball stink bait garlic and cheese flavor.
God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” Genesis 1:28

Catfishing is up and down right now. The weather is playing a big part on Granger. One day, the wind is from the north, the next day from the south. If your setting jugs, find the shad for bait and you will do better. We caught 14 cats the other day on CJ's Shad punch bait. Yesterday, we caught 10 cats on the same bait. We were fishing 14 ft of water. Go on warm days with the south wind.

I've seen them catch them shallow around the banks at fox park and I've also seen them catch them deeper in 15-20 ft water
I think that area where you are 50-75 yds in front of those bouys is a old roadbed

Jerry, if it's those bouys in front of the water pump station at Wilson Fox Park, that's the old river bed. Lot of good deep water there. If it's the bouys I'm thinking of.
Waffles, we been catching shad at the boat ramps before it get's light. Just look for them popping the top of the water on these warmer mornings. On colder days, use you depth finder to find them. Be careful doing that, sometimes you will cast right into a school of baby blue cats.
We were catching the cats over on the north side of the road bed. Look at the Navionics map and you will see these areas. Look for where the contour has a curve in it that changes depth to shallower area. That's where they were last week. This week is a new game. Pay attention to the weather and wind directions. The warmer the day, start shallow and work deeper. The colder days, start about 12 ft of water and work deeper.
