Heading out for a weekend of camping and fishing with the family at the state park. Can I safely run on this lake, any hazards I need to be aware of? If anyone has fished it lately and can share the water temp or fishing report it would be appreciated . Thanks!

Running is a little tricky in spots. There is a fairly straight wide lane between the bridges. South of the road gets iffy. Maybe someone can bring the image back or you can search for it on here. A Google map with waypoints for somewhat safe running.
Numbers are pretty good right now, find the grass and pick it apart for numbers! Temps were reaching 60s a couple of weeks ago, should be low-to-mid 60s now.

Any where west of the railroad bridge you better know where you can snd cannot run. The lake is full of big wood and it's mostly submerged now.

David/ Doug, Thanks for the advice! I'm trying to go and come back in one piece. I know with Bob Sandlin being somewhat connected to Monticello that i'll be dealing with lots of timber, this helps a bunch! I hope to be posting pictures of some big girls here Monday.

Here is a path down the lake that I've run as well that's safe. Outside of that like others have said there is a lot of tree's just under the surface to be aware of.
