I got lucky tonight! Right spot at the right time I was covered with 17inch hybrids with 1 over. Caught some sandbass too. I fought this bad girl for 5mins or more to get her in.
Figured I better post a pic on the board or else bolt

Nice catch...Fishn4Deer! Covered in hybrids is definitely a nice way to be covered...even if they were only 17 inches. I've caught 2 undersized hybrids already. I was shocked to catch them so soon. Looks like there will be tons of undersized hybrids this season. I just hope people know the difference between them and big sandies and release them. Thanks for posting and the info!

A bad day of fishing beats a good day at work anyday!!!

Its not early. The conditions are just right. Warm winter and flowing creeks is what making them run up rivers and creeks. The fish don't know month it is lol

Went to the creek this morning with Jimmy. Started off a little slow then it picked up around 9:30-10oclock. We (mostly Jimmy) caught a total of 20! Caught 14 crappie and 6 sand bass keepers! As most times it's always a pleasure fishing with Jimmy who has a true passion for the sport and always helps others. Going again tomorrow! If someone will give me pointers on the easiest way to post pics I would appreciate it.

Texas Parks and Wildlife have closed Rowlett Creek for fishing from Friday 2/24/17 until Monday 2/27/17.
