How can I bypass the keyed ignition on my 2000 yamaha outboard and gonto a simple push button tonstart? Indid this on an older cajun but Incannot find the wiring diagram for this one. Or can anyone give me the ignition seitch to order for this motor? Or a replacement key a possibility?Any insight would be appreciated

How do you plan on doing the choke and ignition on or off? Push button will only engage the starter.

Do you know what the replacement key number would be are all 2000 vmax keys the same?

Call your nearest Yamaha dealer and give him your engine serial #. Replacement keys are easy to get.
