Flying back from Thailand now, what a trip. My wife and I landed 11 different species total I think, six were catfish.
Black eared catfish native to Asia. I caught this one in the Chao Phraya river on a crank bait. They don't get near as big as the Chao Phraya catfish their close cousin and this 6 pounder is respectable.

Mekong, this one is right at 100 pounds, not even close to max their size.

Striped catfish, has a faint stripe along the lateral line. More predatory than the Mekong and not near as big, their eyes are a little higher on their head and they didn't seem to have the fight in them the Mekongs did.

Chao Phraya catfish named after the river in Thailand. This is by far the fastest catfish I've ever hooked. They cover a ton of water but don't have the power of the Mekong.

Asian red tail was a surprise to me. Even in these lakes that have been stocked they are pretty rare catches and this one is nice. Check out the whiskers on that dude, the fish I mean

Finally the amazon red tail, obviously it's stocked here but a good fighter non the less. If there was weeds or grass around they would run into it as fast they could and start to bury deep. Every one came out with mud all over them.

Here's about a 14" albino walking catfish we used for bait. We bought these at the market, I assume they were for food.
