Moved to cleburne last fall. Makes Richland Chambers and Cedar Creek a little far for a half day of fishing.
Want to try Whitney this Saturday. Where is a safe place to launch and any advice is appreciated.

McCown is where I always launch. Nice 3 lane ramp.

We normally launch at Harbor Masters due to close proximity to where we fish, but McCowan has great ramps. We have launched there some too.

How about the river above whitney (Kimball bend area) for boats bigger than a jon boat?

Kimble Bend park has a good ramp but I've never used it.
