It is spring break that time of year, Jay. You're not likely to get any good deals. I look at it this way- if getting there on time (for the most part), being treated like a human, and not paying an S ton of money for checked luggage is important, then fly SWA.
If you want to be treated like a cow en route to slaughter is ok with you, then fly one of the "discount" carriers. If you want to fly an airline that couldn't care less about you, or being on time, or anything other than how large the stewardesses butts are that are hitting you in the face when they walk by your aisle seat, then fly AA or United.
I will fly Southwest any chance I can get. Lowest price doesn't mean the cheapest.
Plus, your house has like 12 floors and 6 wings, what the hell does the price of a plane ticket matter to you?

It's not cheap that week. I just had to cash in 200k miles for some tickets that week.

what the hell does the price of a plane ticket matter to you? Because if I want to spend a ton on 4 tickets I want it to be somewhere cool or for a cool vacation. I don't care one bit about San Diego or California but the wife wants to go see here sister and mom. I'd much rather take the kids snow boarding/skiing or to a nice beach vacation. Yes I know SD has beaches but the water is cold which pretty much negates the point of going to the beach.

Bodhi preferred Bells Beach Australia.

Dpirit is the cheapest @ 240 with one stop. American/Alaskan is the cheapest direct at $418. I wouldn't fly Spirit if they gave it to me for free....it would still end up costing more than other flights due to all the hidden charges. Stay far away!
