After many of years seeing Jane�s post on the Sabine , I finally got the chance to fish with her. Ruben , Dennis and I made the journey. Although I have caught thousands of white bass , I have never caught a 3lb one .. that was the goal and to learn a little bit We didn�t reach the 3 lb mark but we did get 2lb 15 oz .. missed by an egg Jane is one of the sweeties and nicest people I have ever met.. and an excellent fishing guide and teacher . We caught over 100 fish .. and out of the 100.. 80% where 2lbs plus .. that�s fun on 4ft Mr Crappie rod She knows her stuff for sure.. She showed us a few secretes and techniques that proved very useful.. if you ever get the chance , even if you fish for white bass on your own , go give that try.. the size of those fish are remarkable.. and to catch that many at that size is amazing We didn�t want to keep 75 although we could have.. Definitely a trip worth taking. This was my 3rd trip in 8 days on the Sabine and it did not disappoint. In those 3 days we boated 301 of the biggest sandbass I have ever seen. Might be going again on Monday!!
