Has anyone fished Squaw this month? Didn't go last year at all so I was just wondering if the fish are biting good. It's a 3 hour drive from home. That's why I was curious.

I would advise not to go on a weekend, that lake gets awfull crowded, I think Thursday is the best day to go.

Go on Thursday or Friday
The fishing overall has not been been outstanding like years past.
But there are fish still being caught.
Looks for deep schools .

Winter has been warm, I found 65 degree water yesterday on a cold water lake, they are biting on normal lakes right now, why would you go to a power plant lake thats been getting hammerer hard for 3 months??

It is not worth a 3 hour drive in my opinion. It fished great in November and December, as soon January hit and the bigger money Tournaments started pounding the lake it went downhill fast. I'd go out on a limb and say if there were not tournaments out there 1 or both days of the weekend for the next month that 3/4 of the people who are fishing the lake right now would be fishing somewhere else. Pete and Chris are the exception to that rule, I think they may secretly live at the park facility..

Lake Worth Workingmans Tournaments

Throw a C-Rig in 9-15 ft. of water on secondary points. It won't disappoint.

Went a couple of weeks ago and caught over 40 on square bills. It was nuts. 5-8 ft of water. Didn't get bit if it wasn't banging on wood. Had 3 that were 5 or over.
