This past Friday evening, Hickory Nut arrived at his fish camp here on Lake Fork.
We decided to hit another small NE Texas lake That I had never crappie fished on before.
Saturday 2-4-17At 7am, HN arrived here at my place, we hitched my boat to his truck and headed to Mama B's for a great breakfast

We were launching the boat at 9am, past this wad of crappie getting to where we wanted to fish
Once we found the school of fish we wanted to target, it was
GAME ON!Multiple doubles, even a couple of triples were coming into the boat

We were catching fish that averaged 1.4-1.5#'s and they were attempting to take our rods away

As usual, I caught my "Customary Ditch Pickle".......my past seems to always come back to haunt me

Not that I mind it very much

It only took 2hrs to put a Triple Limit in the livewell

We fished for a while longer, releasing the fish, just cause the action was too good to leave
HN & I had to listen to Belinda whine the whole way home about leaving so soon
Sunday 2-5-17While taking to Hickory Nut on the phone, he said "You know, we could hook back up and attempt a Repeat"
I had him on speaker phone and before I could say anything, Belinda said "Let's GO!!!"
We stopped at a Donut shop on the way and got some great breakfast sandwiches

Arrived back at the spot @ 10:45am.
A buddy was there fishing, they had 40 and was only 10 away from their double limit.
We went to where I had graphed some fish the day before, but there wasn't but a few there.
We caught a couple there, moved to the bridge column in the picture above.
I caught 3 there, then the other boat pasted us and stated they had limited out.
We quickly moved to that area, set the spot lock on the trolling motor and started catching fish, but not near as quickly as the day before.
As I was watching the HB 360, I could see the school of fish moving back and forth in front of us, so I started casting just in front & past them,
then dragging my lure thru them. I started catching fish at a quick rate doing that

Belinda caught the BFOD, a 2.27#

As there was no Lake Record for Black Crappie on this body of water, we took her and had it weight on certified scales and have submitted the form to TWPD

We completed our Triple Limit at 4:45pm and headed home listening to Belinda rub it in about her Big Fish

Out of the 150 fish we caught, none were under 10", but we did throw back quite a few that were between 10 & 11"'s

Almost all of the fish were caught on 2" Tadpoles, some came off of the Mr. Fry. Even the boat that was fishing there caught theirs off of the 2" Tadpole
I'm pretty sure I can speak for all of us when I state, "That was a weekend that I won't forget soon"
