Just a heads up!
Back on sale for $49 from Feb 17th thru Mar 5th. Best $50 back up reel made in my opinion.

Nice, I have a couple I use all the time. I put some larger power handles on them and they work great. I don't like the feel of them as far as flipping, seems like the push bar is just a little small and fits my hand awkward but for moving baits these are good reels.

Getcha some Abu Garcia Black Max reels for $40...... You'll change your mind. They are better than BPS PQ.

Getcha some Abu Garcia Black Max reels for $40...... You'll change your mind. They are better than BPS PQ. I have 11 Revo Premiers and several MGXs, at one time had 15 STXs, so I know how good some Abu Garcias are. I bought several of the Black Maxs for back ups a few years ago, and in my opinion those were junk even compared to the Pro Qualifiers.

Black max is the sorriest reel EVER made. Total POS. There is a reason why it's included on a $60 Abu combo. And a reason for why Southwest Parts has BOXES full of those reels for sale at $20 ea. Loaners, throw-always, or whatever you wanna call them....but "better"? Maybe better than a Zebco.....maybe.

The Pro Qualifier is actually a decent product. Decent enough for $100 and a steal for $50. You can look up my previous posts on this reel and what goes into it. At $100 it has better features than the Lews Speed Spool or the Abu Orra. All three reels share the same design and some parts. In fact I have interchanged parts between all three. The Pro Qual has a three washer drag stack and decent bearings. If you want to lighten it up change out the main shaft with Lews Tounament Pro Speed Spool shaft ($20) and a main gear from a Carbonlite ($10). Actually the Carbonlite and Lews TP Speed Spool gears are the same (same drag stack too) but BPS sells the gears much cheaper. Put in some ceramic spool bearings from hawgtech.com ($24 for all three )and for the extra $50 you can have a $200+ reel that weighs in at 6.8oz.

I was on the BPS pro staff for about 9 years and IMO one of the best reels they make.
I have about 10 PQ reels, I still fish with, some as old as 10 yrs.
No Problems ever. Still cast great and I put them through many days of fishing a year.
I plan on buying my limit of reels when they go on sale.
I for sure will not be go there in my F250 for good reasons.

That's a heck-uv-a-deal. I've got 1 and may buy another or two. Limit 5 per person.

Where did you see that? I looked thru the Fishing Classic ad and didn't see it advertised.

Thanks. I sure is. I stopped after all of the reels. I guess I'll need to run over there at lunch on the 17th, as I'm sure they will go fast.
