For casting I use suffix hi-vise tangerine but for vertical I use Berkley fire line for the best sensitivity....

spider wire on all 10 of my crappie rods, since they started making it. I use 8,10,15, in yellow. I catch fish on the yellow just as good as any of the colors made!!!!!
I would agree with you , but then we would both be WRONG !!!!!

try the berkley trilene coldweather line,,, its great!
COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

Suffix Elite 10lb. test Hi-Vis Yellow for me. Low-memory for spinning reels. My favorite.

Mr Crappie is my choice too

Just got some Stren Crappie Mono...4, 6, and 8 pound test. Really like it. Specifically for my casting/pitching rigs. For my jigging poles it is still and always has been 10 or 15 pound power pro or Suffix 832 yellow with a 12-14 pound test Berkely flourocarbon leader...landed some giant catfish on those setups too!
