Weather changes of all kinds affects the way fish bite. What I have noticed over the years the worse the weather the better they bite. Although in our lakes you have to be in the right place where the fish are to notice these differences in catching. That is why one guy says it does not matter and another says he caught the heck out of the fish. It is just hard to test anything in our lakes where we only average 10 bites per day. You may or may not have run into a school of fish and your test is flawed.

Now, come to Mexico with me to test anything where the potential bite is over 100 fish per day and you will find out fast what works and what doesn't. I bet you take a pressure reading down there and you will see a substantial difference on the catching ratio. This is why I say scent works really well and orange baits work the best during inclement weather. I am in the fish 100% of the time and if I am not catching there is a reason.

Each person you work with holds some promise to your future success.

I do pay attention to the barometer but just use it as a tool to indicate favorable days due to the weather changing. Having said that I have had great days when the barometer was high and poor days when the barometer was low so I don't use it to determine if I go fishing or not but maybe it does influence how I fish. I do enjoy the science of fishing.

...interesting explanation of what we've thought about for years!
Thanks

Fishing is not a matter of life or death,
it's much more important than that!

Good read. Makes sense.
