Howdy all. I hope this is the correct subforum for this inquiry. I own a 6000lb hydrohoist. Located in the DFW area. I am needing a boat lift installed in an existing boathouse on Caddo Lake. My lift guy here quoted $4k installed on Caddo all in including new straps that it needs. Seems like 99% of the people out there at Caddo use the winch/strap style lifts - not sure why. I will say most docks are on sunk piers there, but mine happens to be a floating one. Does anyone know what one of those strap style lifts would cost installed in the Caddo area? I would think it would be way under the $4k price to install my hydrohoist. Fyi, my current boat is an aluminum 19ft Bass Tracker with a 115 Mercury. I dont think I would ever have a fiberglass boat on Caddo, so 6000lb hydrohoist is overkill - but I own it free and clear. I guess another option could be to find someone local out there to do the install much cheaper than paying my guy to come from DFW. I originally paid $750 to have it installed 6 years or so ago. Any advice or comment is greatly appreciated!
