ascend fs128t kayak Dos anyone run this kayak or something similar? I'm just curious on how hard it is to paddle being so big? I really like the layout and style of it for the kind of fishing I do in the lakes, but I can't find a place that sells them for me to look at them, any help would be much appreciated.

you might make a trip to Bass Pro, they sell Ascend Kayaks.

I've posted some reviews about it, as I've owned it for a few years now.
Long story short, it's very stable but handles more like a boat when making turns. Lots of space and storage, seat is very comfortable.
I believe Bass Pro is the only retailer, which is where I got mine, but check Ascend Kayak's website.

Big and heavy, but very easy to paddle.

Bass pro sells them. I pickled up a 2016 after Christmas. It is slow and heavy, but is also very stable. I bought it for the purpose of having a stable sit on top that I could take my 75 lb lab out on as well as use to fish big choppy water. I also see them on sale here and there on kayak fishing face book groups.

Recently traded my canoe for the Ascend FS12' kayak. Previous owner ( good friend of mine ) took his husky out on the water in it with no problems. I personally love it; tracks well, paddles well. However, the turning, like mentioned is a little more difficult. Overall, great kayak!
Catch and Release fishing is a lot like golf. You don't have to eat the ball to have a good time.

I was really interested in the new 128T. However, the maximum safe capacity rating is too low for me, my dog, and fishing gear. I'm over 220lbs.

No problems with paddling the FS128T it is streamlined to cut through the water. It is heavier and a bit slower than lighter kayaks and it does draft more of the yak since it is one of the more stable yaks to stand up in so more of the yak is in the water which causes drag. Overall I like mine. Kept it even after I bought my Hobie PA14. I use the Ascend when I feel like paddling instead of peddling and also when I fish with my boys.
