Just bought a new terrova 80 and took her out yesterday. Love the spot lock....i turned the auto pilot on and cranked it up to 10 to move spots and after about 2 minutes it tripped my fuse. Tried it again later with the same result.....Can a battery cause this issue or is it more to do with the fuse? The motor runs great otherwise, just when its under high speed it trips. Thanks for any info.

May have a bare spot in your positive wire feed to the trolling motor that is touching metal. Could also be shorting out up in the "head" of the trolling motor. Aluminum or fiberglass boat?

You may need a bigger fuse for that trolling motor. If you moved up in power, that might be the cause.

Odds are they put a 30 amp. on the line for a reset block fuse. Take a look. If so change it out to a 50 amp.
