I have been using McCoys Mean Green since 2000. STRONG, ABRASION RESISTANT, LOW MEMORY and good amount of STRETCH All I use on moving baits and trigs/jigs. Only application I do NOT use it for is C-rigs too stretchy for my taste, but good for leader material. I have one Greenie Curade that I have had 17# test on for over 7 years, GREAT STUFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope this helps. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

McCoy's mean green . I been using mccoy's line for a few years and every thing Thad Rains has said about the line is a true fact. I use it more than any other line out there. I use floro but very little and to tell you the truth I'm so used to using McCoy's that I just forget the floro line and I'm sure it has hurt some tine but really I have never noticed. Give it a try because that's the only way you will ever know if you like it or not. Tight lines and be safe out there.

McCoy's Mean Green is excellent line.
It's more abrasion resistant, a little stretchier, and more buoyant than Pline CX premium
It's not as abrasion resistant as Pline CXX, but does have less memory than CXX

Where do you guys find Mean Green? Their online site? All the Texas dealers I looked at didn't seem to have it in stock. I'm in Rockport and will look at Tackle Town and Roy's in CC. IslandJim

Or, I buy directly from their site, but I buy the 3000 yard spools, too. Last for YEARS, I still have some of the original line I bought in 2000 and still good. Hope this helps. Sorry it is late. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

I use 12 # McCoys Mean Green for all cranking, unless on a real timber lake like Fork, then I go up to 15. T-rig, I use 15 to 20. 15 is all all around good purpose line for a lot of things. When fishing Trigs or Crigs, I go up to 20 and put a 15 lb. leader of McCoys on the Crig. You can fish the lower 12#, but I like to feel the heft of the bigger fish w/o worrying that they will put the line. 20 lb will ddrag the boat around with over 600 lbs of people in the boat, so probably too strong, again, unless on a timber lake, like Fork or something. Hope this helps. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.
