Has anyone thought about removing the H-rail and going back to the plastic boards that came on earlier models? I have quickly found out that hobie came out with the H-rail system to make more money off you! I mean a simple rod holder for the h-rail is $48!! A simple plastic ram ball is $32 you end up spending a whole lot less without the H-rail system. I'm just not sure about it yet.

Hey RiverHawk

Railblaza makes a clamp on adaptor that fits the H-Rail

You should have some mounting room in front of the H-Rail with the boards that are currently installed as well.

Then there is always Plywood or Starboard and a little of your time....I have always thought the Hobie accessories to be very well thought out and versatile - making them a good value IMO.
