Would somebody mind posting the link to the map of Lewisville? I can't seem to find it since the change on the forums. I seem to recall it has the forest areas marked with gps coordinates.

Thanks for the link, thats one of the maps I was looking for. I think somebody else made up another one that has some good documentation of the trees when the lake was really low a few years back.

Capt Carter check your email

here is the URL for the map showing the location of the trees on Lewisville, the shaded area in the middle of the lake is a forest.

http://webpages.charter.net/rrdowns/LV-Center-crp.jpg

Many thanks to the individual that has allowed that map to stay live on their web sight for so long.

No problem.
It gets a lot of use so I thought I would leave it there.

I see that skull between westlake and lake lewisville park. I suppose that is the buoy that was there where the water goes up to a foot. Is that buoy still there???? I didn't see it last time I went out.

That skull is an old telephone pole that is sheared off at about the 512/513 mark - kind of like the twin poles, but went under water when the level of the lake was raised. There may have been a bouy on that pole back in October\November but it was not there Friday.

The two skulls at twin trees, are, in fact the "twin trees" for which the point was named.

I hadn't ever saw the twin trees, maybe I wasn't looking hard enough.

Did you notice that Ray Bob didn't even exist on that map?
