You're going to find some on here that swear by them--all they use. I don't like them though. For my money, there's much better out there.

I have several and hadn't had any issues. I really like them and will continue buying more as I need them. I love how light they are yet have a real good back bone.

Lot more options out there, but it's all in what you like and have confidence in.

Bought two of them in the past, don't have either one any longer. I was very disappointed in them. Both of them just broke in half on a hook set. was not doing anything that should have made it do that. They are at the bottom of the lake now.

I've had 2 and am not a fan. Both of them have had issues such as the little red ring above the reel seat coming lose. Hook keeper came off. This is was within weeks of the initial purchase. As far as the the rod and handling fish it does a good job they are light but I couldn't get over the quality issues. I've also had a few friends break theirs on hooksets.

The $150 range is super competitive and you are going to get a lot of responses. I personally tried Daiwa and Dobyns and have been happy with both.

I have two Ghost's and they're solid. But for my $$ I would prefer either Dobyns or Kistler for the $150 range, just gotta find good deals

I spend way too much time buying and selling rods and reels here and other forums and i will say the 3 most prized brands would be with no ranking Loomis, Dobyns and Falcon when it comes to buying used. I hope this helps.

I have 3 Micro Magics and a Ghost.

I will say that I like the rods, they are plenty sensitive, and do what I need them to do. I dislike how small the eyelets on the Micro Magics are. Never had an issue other than breaking an eyelet or 2, but that's on me.

**side note - I recently picked up 3 Kistlers and 1 Dobyns Rod. The Duckett's don't get picked up as much as they used to.

Hope this helps!

I own 18 Ducketts and have not had a single break on any of them. They are very good rods as far as sensitivity goes. I love the micro guides as well, but have had to have around 10-15 of them replaced throughout the course of 5 years. Some from my fault but the majority just ceramics falling out. If they had a different kind of guide on them I would have no complaints. But will also agree there are many others as good or better at that price point. Good luck

In the $100-$150 range, I have liked these rods much more than Ducket:

iRod Genesis
Powell Max 3D
Falcon Bucoo
TFO

I also really like Kistler and Dobyns, but only have experience with their higher end rods. I can only assume that their lineups in this price range are quality as well.

I have 15 to 20 of them and they are awesome and if you do have a problem their customer service is the best that I have seen.
