My dad can not get around as good now. So I have been scouting some bank spots. Problem is my dad can't walk to them. I need some help.

What about a fishing barge on one of the local lakes? It might be more comfortable.

A few years before my dad passed he got to where he couldn't walk the banks. I bought a pelican predator from academy put a trolling motor on it and that gave me about 8 more years worth of memories that I wouldn't sell for a million dollars. I think I had about 800 or 900 dollars in it. After he passed I sold it for 500. That's what I would recommend.

Up date. We went to three lakes and did not catch a thing! But the memories we made will last me a life time.

Your profile looks like you are from Cedar Creek? Have you tried the 2 piers at Purtis Creek State Park? There is one by the boat ramp and the other across the lake at the camp sites. We have fished them both over the years. Great Little lake! There is also pretty good Marina called High View at lake Bardwell in Ennis. You can fish the pier, covered boat stalls or enclosed crappie houses for 5 bucks a person.

Hey crapicat, went to crappie point did not catch a thing. We went to halbert and Navarro Mills. As for Purtis Creek it's been dead for the past month.

several of the local crappie guides use pontoon type boats.
easy loading and unloading, and good seating, and they do they work.
Go to the crappie section and ask if any of the guides meet your needs.
This time of year several run half day trips, and some offer discounts..jim
