go get on livingston or choke canyon on a 40 mph wind day and you won't want to go offshore anymore. flat bottom boats are badass for what they are made to do.

Ive got a 15 foot deep v tracker--how would that operate in the bay areas such as Tabbs Bay/ The Hartman bridge area ----What are the water depths in that area of the bay? Best place to launch?

Most trips offshore change from the start to the end. I have a 21' Triton Intracoastal that I wouldn't chance taking to the jetties.

The jetties are the worst of it u got bad washing machine effect undertow cross tow and if tide is outgoing or in coming on a good day out past them is pretty easy going even coming if its a little ruff u got the waves in ur favor.Used to do it with my dad back in the 60`s in a 17t glastron 75hp evinrude 20 miles out to whistling bouy..

Probably too much expensive [censored] and that boat that was just worthless like power poles and anchors and batteries and a bunch of junk if they would have been a little bit lighter on that boat they wouldn't had a problem and also that rig they were stopped at that's just a satellite it does not even have anybody living on it the worst thing you can catch underneath that sucker is maybe a blue fish or something that was a waste right there if they would have went a little bit farther they could have been on the good grouper fishing grounds.
