I've been on it when its higher and still caught fish. Being early in the run it might be a bit more work, but it'll be better than sitting on the couch.
If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space!

You will be fine launching at any ramp you would like. Just make sure you have a vehicle or ride at your pick-up spot. Falling, slowing water like we have now is perfect! It is going to be a gr8 day!
If I can get away from the Gulf I have a muley and an elk tag for colorado

Yellow Dog is below River Ridge. I have never launched there, so i do not know how it is accessed by road, but have seen it from the river. You could probably find it using google earth or a similar app.

Went to the 1794 and Hwy 79 ramps this morning and there wasn't a single person at either of them. Are the fish just not here yet? I figured there would be lots of people out this morning. We didn't put because the ramps were so muddy we would have probably gotten stuck.

Water is always muddy fished it at 28 ft last year still caught fish but look for anything under ten. Can't wait look to be there next week those fish are not normal!!!didnt even have the yaks out yet on this fish first cast. Right off of janes bank. Can't wait till next weekend.

I was there Sunday at 1. it was my first trip there and I caught 22 of the biggest sandies Ive ever seen. The ramp at river ridge was ok with 2 wheel drive, little scary though.

Is there bank fishing anywhere near river ridge? You can fish on the sand bar at River Ridge.
