I have been out several times this month structure fishing for whites, and it has been difficult finding fish. When I do find them, they are very finicky about biting. My best day was 29 on 1/19. Typically I am catching 12 to 20 per half day. I've looked from the dam all the way up to Enchanted Isle Ridge. Here are the only spots where I have found fish: Saint Annes Point East and West, Saint Annes Drop-off, Flagpole Point, Dam Ridge, Key Ranch North and Pole Dance Point. Fish are in 12 to 20 fow with water temps from 53 to 56 degrees. I catch them by retrieving a #4 silver Mepps very slowly along the bottom or by getting right over the fish and reeling the Mepps straight up very slowly. It helps to point the rod at the line. I'm catching 1 to 4 hybrids in with the whites.

I can hear folks dead-sticking and beating on their boats most times I'm out but don't have any reports from them and don't see any here.

I'm dealing with 3 different health issues right, which has slowed me down. I also just got remarried, which took some attention away from fishing.
