Caught our first limit of white bass this morning. Really nice size. Caught on 1/4 roadrunner. White with red head. It is time to start planning your trip to the Sabine. If you need a guided trip, now is the time to book. riverridgetx.com to see pics. Someone remind me how to post my pics here. I know you pull them off my website.

IMO, this is the best white bass run in the state. Three pounders are common.

More like 3 pounders are possible but "very rare".
I've kept up with that place for about 5 years now & every year they say "4-5 ounces shy of 3lbs".

I'm with Skeeter22. 3lb-ers are common! It's a fantastic run! Get up there and fish!

I'll be headed out that way tomorrow myself, gotta get in a little catching before the slaughter trip in late Feb. Thanks for the heads up Jane! And yeah, 3lb'ers aren't uncommon. Those big females have shoulders!

Jane's ramp would be good. 2517 should be doable. Never launched at Yellow Dog, so not sure how it is right now.

Good luck with the boat ramps.
USGS shows 4000+cfps flow.
Gage height is 14'+ which is still very high.
Way to fast & high for most people.
I would wait maybe another week.
I bet the banks are really muddy also.

Bring your waders

You are north of HWY 20
Here's the proof on the USGS chart for Beckville just north of Tenaha (riverridge)

7 days of falling water means it is clearing and the fish are biting! Go fish!
