day one: cash out atm card day two: go further into the woods with 300.00 worth of food day 29: collect 250,000.00 day 30: throw the biggest tff/thf gtg in history. at Tmans new shack! let deerfeeder and I have a crack at this show, 2 old farts hidin in da woods (snicker). what do ya get if ya capture the pursuit team? can ya hold the camera crew for ransom? can ya request the camera crew be the swedish bikini team? this could be fun. I think it's possible, but I don't think I can get that much time off of work. I know places....can't use them all cuz that's where the bodies will end up going, but there are others that are viable...

All reality shows are scripted and fake, but that does not mean they can't be fun to watch.
I might opt in on this one.

I think I could do it for a little while (days to weeks) if it was to be a sudden escape. Give me time to plan it for a month and I think they wouldn't find me for quite a while (years).

Good bets I would be yelling at the tv inside 15 minutes.... First time somebody starts whining "We're starving to death!!!" while standing on food.

S.E.R.E course in Germany, we took a tie for 3rd with an hour left on a 7 day exercise, about 54 participants the other 2 top finishers broke into the back of some sheds in the woods and hid out for the win with little or no movement towards the exit point, we covered the most ground to the exit point though, ate some really bad stuff or water that kept us sick for weeks after, one of the hardest things I have ever done but thankful to have had a friend to do it with.
Lesson learned, during daylight hours be under something, in something, behind etc. concealment is the key, pulled up under a bridge during a rain storm thought I was deep enough under it, but an OPFOR saw us and we got popped. Also your boot strings can never be long enough, was able to re tie 2x after breakages and was thankful for how much extra is actually on those things!

JR This. You can only draw out $100 at a time at the ATM. Have some good clothes for when you take out money, then change into old worn out clothes when you go back to the homeless camp or woods. By a burner phone and use it only when necessary.

The producers stack the odds against the contestants by forcing them to use an ATM card with a $100 per day withdrawal limit. Give them the $500 in cash and it might be a different story. That one couple was stupid to get on that Greyhound bus.

Or took a cab to a town with a homeless shelter, live in the homeless shelter while figuring out a way to get money/food WITHOUT USING THAT ATM CARD!

The ATM card with $100 limit is the killer. Narrows the search area drastically and forces contestants to give up their location 5 times. The other hugely limiting factor is that you are hauling a CAMERAMAN with you everywhere you go. Like that won't draw attention. I'm out on it.
