my wife had it a few months back at Key-Whitman she has had no problems. Could see clear about 15min after the procedure. They also gave her about $300 in credit for some sunglasses from their selection and they have Costas, Oaklys, and others.

I'm hoping to have mine done soon

How much does lasik cost? About 4k sound right? I want to get it for my wife because she's annoying me with her complaining about glasses and contacts.

I paid 2k for 1 eye in 2009. Almost everyone I talked to highly recommended it. Sadly, I am in the minority of people that are not happy, although I still would recommend it for others. My vision was only improved for about 3 years, now the eye I had the surgery on is now worse than before. My wife had both eyes done 15 years ago and is still 20/20 in both! Kleiman Evangelista did mine, and Booth performed my wife's, we have no complaints for either.

Wife had Klieman Evangelista do lasik on one eye and a cornea implant on the other. This was a little over a year ago and she is satisfied with the procedure. Not as clear as what she was hoping for but at least she doesn't need to wear glasses to read or see distance.

Wife and son both had it done at Tylok in Irving. Was life changing for both.

I'm seriously considering it too.

we paid just under $3000

Key-Whitman has a lifetime "warranty" where if you ever need correction they will do it at no cost.

I would have it done except with corrected vision I am farsighted and need readers. I wear gas permeable lenses which last like 5 years and are fully covered by my insurance. I switch to glasses when not at work or hunting. I could increase the power on the gas perms to achieve 20/10 but right now that might make it hard to read the dash on my truck. For detail up close work I can just take my glasses off whereas with Lasik I would have to put on readers.

I had cataracts and needed glasses for near and far. They fixed everything except for my need of reading glassses. Your eye decides the outcome. They will tell you up front what they can fix.

I'm glad I had it done.

Doctor says "Okay just sit still in this chair while I strap your head down with this fancy leather belt. Now stay real calm while I point this laser beam directly into your eyeball..."

It only takes a few seconds per eye.

Yeah, that makes it a lot better.
