Lake is at 32ft low. It has dropped 4 ft. since Jan 1st. This should move the fish back out on the hardwoods along the river channel in the main lake. Also this level will put the underwater bridge at the mouth of the Falcon Lake Park in Zapata cove. Hug the right side going out. Don't fish after dark.

If you stay in the channel, running the length of the lake isn't a problem, just use common sense. Use your GPS when running too. However, don't try to split marker 7 & 8.

This past weekend in Bass Champs, I fished School Bus Cove and right by the County ramp the whole time and caught fish. The fish should be doing their thing here pretty soon, so go shallow. You can always catch good fish deep on a deep diving crankbait, football jig and Carolina rig too. If you go shallow, throw a senko, squarebill, spinnerbait, or flip a jig. Hard bait and wire bait colors should be white, shad colored, chartreuse/blue back, or red craw. Soft plastic colors should be plum, blue fleck, or any sort of green pumpkin color. Magnum Flukes are always fun to flip into the hardwoods. The clearer water will be towards the dam. The Salado is fishing well right now with big fish coming out of there. Tigers and the Salaianais are always good tributaries to fish too. Make sure you look at the wind forecast before you make long runs, other wise you'll be caught with your pants down.

Hope this helps.

Good luck!
