I have fished it when it is high. Did it in 17 ft Cpress with 90 on it. If you do it be smart and avoid debris
Fish mouth of creeks entering river. If not comfortable wait for it to go down.

Never found it particularly dangerous when the river was high. IMO, it's more dangerous when low.

which part of the Sabine are you talking about? May be able to help you.

The driving force and secret desire of every bass fisherman, is to one day be a crappie fisherman............Could it be that the good Lord just smilies and looks the other way when a fisherman tells a lie?

I agree, I prefer it to be up a little bit as opposed to being really low. I personally don't see it as being "more dangerous" when it's high, just the amount of things to be careful of expand a bit. It's moving water, just now it's moving more water a lot faster. Boat handling skills in moving water, as they are anywhere, are key. Complacency or ignorance could get someone in big trouble quickly.

Be safe, and keep in mind, the water level will go back down in a few days.

If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space!

I went. It was fine. Seems like all the debris and floaters follow a line in current. Didn't catch a thing
