Rebuild costs vary from shop to shop and hard to tell you what that would be cause there is no telling what will need to be replaced or what can be reused.

Texas Outboard Rebuilders in Seven Points,TX did my Merc 225efi 2 years ago and I regularly fish out of my boat on average 3 days a week or more and the motor has been flawless. They give you a 4 year warranty top to bottom ,2 years at 100% and 2 more at 50%. I highly recommend you give them a call. Seven Points is on Ceder Creek lake.

My 2005 HPDI cost me 5,100$ for a complete rebuild top to bottom. Came with a 4 year warranty. I used Texas Outboard Rebuild on Cedar Creek I never had a a problem out of it afterwards. Steve is a good guy! I do not think he offers the 4 year warranty on the HPDI anymore though.

I would say an average cost from different shops that I have heard is 6200.00 to 7500.00. That power head of Skeeterdons is a real good deal. Would need to add labor to r&r, sparkplugs, complete fuel system and cooling system repair to that. About 1500.00
